  • APMP Practitioner “Quick Start” Workshop +

    APMP Practitioner “Quick Start” Workshop


    This full day workshop is for members who are ready to start preparing their Proposal Practitioner Assessment Questionnaire (PPAQ).

    The workshop includes access to the APMP Practitioner “Quick Start” Tutorial. Participants complete the one-hour, on-line tutorial prior to attending the “Quick Start” workshop. The tutorial provides: 

    • Introduction to the PPAQ requirements.
    • Instructions to perform a self-assessment against the Practitioner competencies
    • Demonstration of how to use the PPAQ Standards and Guidelines to build your competency evidence responses.
    • Examples of completed evidence responses
    • Explanation of how to handle some of the more challenging competency areas.

    Participants are asked to complete two competency evidence responses prior to the workshop and submit them to the Director of Accreditation for feedback. This will allow maximum time for development of evidence responses during the workshop.

    During the workshop participants receive:

    • Individual coaching to develop 8 to 10 compliant competency evidence responses.
    • Understanding of how to handle some of the more challenging competency areas.
    • Evaluation of completed responses to confirm they understand the approach and can write the remainder of their responses on their own.
    • On-going support to complete their PPAQ after the workshop

    At the completion of this workshop members will have completed up to 8 to 10 of their self-assessment questions and have a clear understanding of how to compete their remainder of their PPAQ within the next 4 to 6 weeks.  The workshop cost does not include cost of Practitioner Assessment that is be paid when you submit your PPAQ.

  • APMP Practitioner “Completion” Workshop +

    APMP Practitioner “Completion” Workshop


    This intense full-day workshop is for members who would like to complete the Proposal PractitionerAssessment Questionnaire (PPAQ) at the UK Conference.  Participants should register for this workshop and begin prerequisite activities at least 1 month in advance.

    Participation in his workshop will require:

    • Foundation level Accreditation
    • Pre-registration for the Practitioner Assessment (http://www.apmg-exams.com/UKPstart.asp)
    • Completion of the APMP Practitioner Completion Tutorial.
    • Advance preparation of 12+ competency evidence responses
       

    The APMP Practitioner Completion Tutorial Workshop includes access to the APMP Practitioner “Completion” Tutorial. Participants complete the one-hour, on-line tutorial prior to attending the “Completion” workshop. The tutorial provides: 

    • Introduction to the PPAQ requirements.
    • Instructions to perform a self-assessment against the Practitioner competencies
    • Demonstration of how to use the PPAQ Standards and Guidelines to build your competency evidence responses.
    • Examples of completed evidence responses
    • Explanation of how to handle some of the more challenging competency areas.


    This workshop is a full day dedicated to completing the 35 competency evidence responses with support from the Chief Examiner, Director of Accreditation and mentors.

    At the completion of this workshop members will have completed their Practitioner Accreditation.

    Capture Plan Development is the process of managing and engaging in the pre-competition phase in an organised way that is designed to increase win potential. When carried out effectively Winning Price development is carried out first during the pre-competition phase and then re-visited.  Whether or not your organisation does Capture Planning, there are some key principles that should be applied to develop a winning price that is most likely to be acceptable to the customer. This workshop will consider how to apply your existing skills and knowledge in these competencies to engage and manage the process to identify, articulate, and implement winning strategies that are designed to capture a specific business opportunity.  

    If you are struggling to complete these competencies in your PPAQ, this is a must attend workshop.

    This three hour session will provide you with competency training that has been specifically designed to meet the standards required by APMP for Practitioner Certification.

    A powerful Executive Summary is a key element of any good proposal. Using case study material, and drawing on research with buyers, we’ll explore what makes for an effective Executive Summary. We’ll look at its purpose and structure; how and when it should be developed and refined; roles and responsibilities.

    As a result, you’ll be able to sharpen the content of future Executive Summaries, and make their development more efficient. Additionally, at the end of the workshop, we will look at the “Executive Summary Development” competency within APMP’s Practitioner certification, and will help those working on their PPAQ to complete the necessary paperwork.

    Storyboard Development is the process of developing and planning key messaging, content and graphics for the proposal before writing begins to increase win potential. This workshop is designed to demonstrate that this activity can be very simple, or very complex and is highly tailorable as there are many existing tools and techniques that can help – you are probably already using them.

    This interactive workshop will help you to understand the secrets of implementing an effective qualification process. What criteria should be used? Who needs to be involved in the process – and how can you secure their commitment? When should it take place? How do you implement a truly robust process?

    Additionally, at the end of the workshop, we will look at the “Opportunity Qualification” competency within APMP’s Practitioner certification, and will help those working on their PPAQ to complete the necessary paperwork.
